It's half way through January'12 now, but I want to get this out.
For make up I have been loving Za Skin Beauty 2way Foundation, which is part of the Dec'11 and Jan'12 PvP I'm doing with Tao (aka iamgrape1119). I have been using it religiously, no sign of getting bored yet. FYI, my shade is in #21. Sleek Face Contour Kit in Light has a good matte deep shading colour and decent highlighter. I love that it comes with a use-able sized mirror! If you want to see the inside, you can check out this post or that one. Benefit Dandelion is a newly acquired item. One of the best pale pink you can get for light/fair complexion. I love how I can never over-apply this - as I can be really reckless when I do my make up on transport. ;)
December was a month of deep hydration. Here are some hard-core life-savers.
Threla makes 100% natural skin care, I got 4 of their lip balms as souvenirs when my aunt went to the States a while ago. The l'amour strawberry Natural Glacé is tinted, gives a very sweet bitten colour on the lips, similar to what you get from a (bene)tint kind of stain. It is moisturizing, smells and tastes sweet! I keep lavender All Natural Lip Balm under my pillow. I don't have the luxury to own a bed-side drawer or anything. It is my night time balm, not too thick like petroleum and not too sticky. Lasts through the night and my lips are in good condition the other morning.
Note: the other 2 flavour I had - I believe - were Pomegranate Natural Glacé (tinted) and Guava All Natural Lip Balm. They smell and taste funky or something hence I lost them, together with the memory associated. :S
I have very bad Allergic rhinitis (or hayfever, whatever) and 24/7 I could be blowing my nose - which I'm get used to. Moreoever, whenever I have flu or cold, symptoms start from running nose. Back to the topic... Basically the area around my nose is constantly in poor condition, dry, red, sensitive, etc.
This month I've been relying on Botanics Organic Face Super Balm and Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream Original to tackle that. I hope you can see in the pic above, the Botanics one is solid, much like it's cleansing balm, and it melts to the warmth of your fingers/skin. The famous 8 hour cream is a thick glue paste, smells and reminds me of some topical drug. :S Despite my poor description, both perform wonders.
Last but not least, the yummiest chocolate I have ever put on my skin: Lunableu Belgium Chocolate Goatmilk Cream. You can tell from the shot above, it is extremely smooth and creamy (yummy of course). And the scent is divine.
Disclaimer: I do NOT pile this on like other creams because I cherish this so much!
Every night after my shower, I put a layer of this on my legs and body, etc. Skin is instantly moisturised. I instantly smell like a chocolate cake. The hydration and smell linger until the other day when I get to shower, that's 24 hour and a few changes of clothes and some running around in the city! Simply amazing!
