I know this is late, but I'm still gonna try to squeeze this out - because I want to. For the non-beauty gifts like the Marc Jacobs above, I'll be blogging about on another bilingual blog, which my friend and I co-host. Please check that post out if you're interested!!
Foreword: Christmas is not a shopping/gift holiday to me, it is indeed a Christian's celebration and I do celebrate it.
Most of these gifts are not exactly 'to me'. Whenever my mum or sisters receive skin care/ beauty items that they won't use, they just re-direct them to me. On the other hand, if I got food or garments or anything that doesn't work for me, I just share with them. I love my big warm family!
I got a L'Occitane Cherry Blossom Eau de Toilette and Shimmering Lotion. A few years back I sniffed Cherry Blossom hand cream, and I didn't like the scent. This time, mum got a big L'Occitane gift box and she gave me these 2. Surprisingly, I quite like the fragrance. Perhaps they have changed some notes, or that I have changed across the years?
A group of friends decided to do a small new year gift exchange, so we set a HK$100 (~US$13) budget and buy for a particular recipient among that group, by lucky draw. I went out and bought some lovely Manger-themed deco for my friend, while I received this Dejavu Fiberwig Extra Long mascara in Brown. I rarely use colour mascara. Last time I tried dejavu fiberwig, my opinion was just 'okay'. I am still debating whether I should open this and try, or just give/sell this away. Any idea?
Crabtree n Evelyn Hand Therapy is a standard gift to every female in my family, from one of my aunt. She let us choose 1 tube from a huge gift box/set. I guess from this practice of hers, I have tried technically every scent Crabtree offers (offered). This India Hicks Island Living I haven't tried before so I chose this one. Not yet opened. :P
The Melvita Narcissus Extraordinary Water was a gift from my god-sister. She has amazing skin and very good taste in everything. For instance, Dr. Hauschka was a brand she recommended to me and I love! Melvita is a French organic brand recently launched in Hong Kong. I will start using this once my current toners are done.
Thann is a Thai Spa brand, a higher-end one, I believe. It is new to me, and I have no expectation or whatsoever on this Rice Extract Moisturizing Cream. Interested to give it a try anyway!
Ingredients
Out of randomness I am gonna end this post by including the 2 samples I got from magazines in this post. They are Vichy Aqualia Thermal Light Cream and The Body Shop Nutriganics Drops of Youth serum. Finally there's a Dior One Essential Skin Boosting Super Serum sample I got at the counter.
Better late then never, no? What did you receive for Christmas or Holiday or recently? Share it in the comments, if you have a post or video about that, paste it down below too!

Melvita Narcissus Extraordinary Water sounds lovely, it's been on my wishlist for quite awhile :)
ReplyDeleteEkta: really? I haven't tried Melvita before (and yet to try this water) Have you tried anything good from Melvita?
DeleteThe bags are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI hear so many good things about Fiber Wig mascara. It's possibly one of the coolest Asian beauty products. You need to do a post on it :O)

Yes the bags are practical and very pretty! Actually I have used fiberwig before - but didn't work too well for my lashes. Still battling inside whether or not to keep/use this tube :S
