12x12: Current Favourites #1

Hi there!  :D  I have decided to make a little twist to the 'monthly favourites' that everyone including me are (were) doing...

So in 2012, I'll jot down things I love and then blog about them when the number hits 12.  The idea is to do 12 episodes in this series, and at the end of the year, I'll see what among these make it to my top favourites!  **Don't you think the name 12x12 is cool?  (lame me?)**

According to the order of appearance from top to bottom, left to right.
  1. Cle de Peau Cotton
  2. Sana Grafixx Mascara F101
  3. MAC Paint Pot *Soft Ochre
  4. Kiehl's Amino Acid Conditioner
  5. Nails Inc. Nail Polish *Cambridge Terrace
  6. Real Techniques Buffing Brush
  7. Real Techniques Multi Task Brush
  8. Real Techniques Domed Shadow Brush
  9. Lush Angels on Bare Skin
  10. Celdie Rosehip Cleansing Cream
  11. Hera Mineral Multi BB *Shade #2
  12. YSL Touche Eclat

I'm planning to do the Cle de Peau Cotton review soon - as part of my cotton review series.  But to make it short, I adore the quality and texture of this.  And frankly, being the most expensive facial cotton I have used, this worths the price tag - unlike the other Cle de Peau items I have tried!

This SANA mascara is really a love-hate item.  I love the effect it gives my lashes, its longetivity on me, the brush, the formula, everything - except for the fact that no matter how hard I try, I can't take it off properly.  I have tried oil/water make up removers, warm water, cleansing oil/balm/milk/cream - literally everything.  but there are always residue after my cleansing (and shower) that I need to clean up with oil and/or cream on a q-tip.  :(

MAC Soft Ochre I feel is the most practical eyeshadow base for me - help eyeshadow adhere and stay, neutralise my lid and is good quality overall.

Kiehl's conditioner was mentioned in my Jan empties post, a very nice one, but I'll wait till I finish my hair conditioner/mask stash and/or my Project 20 Body and Hair to get some of this.  It is really not cheap, you know!

The Nails Inc is simple: just wait till I show you my NOTD (time unknown), it is like aluminium foil - absolutely pretty and flattering.

Real Techniques brushes from Sam of Pixiwoo are very very very good.  Not the best in the world, but for cruelty-free (artificial bristles), cheap, well-designed ones, these may be un-beatable!!  I use the Buffing one for bb cream and foundation - fyi, Hera BB cream and Bourjois collagen foundation are the currently-most-used; the multi task for blusher, powder, highlighter and contour; the domed eye brush for eyeshadow application and blending.  Absolutely Amazing!

Lush AOBS is a tricky thing.  After months of irregular usage since I got it, and my initial dislikes, I grew fond of its scent -- so very much fond of it that I use it just because I enjoy the aroma of it.  Every time I use it I make sure I smell and inhale and breathe it a lot before I wash it off.  (sick?!)

The Celdie cleanser is a discontinued regret - I will always miss it.  Mentioned it several times before (link, link) and it will be soon in my empties post - sad!!
The Hera BB cream is exceptionally adorable (smells and apply like a dream) - will talk more about it in the future.

I received the YSL Touche Eclat in Shade #2 in a travel pack of 2 (tricky phrase) from my parents when they travelled, a good while back.  Haven't been using this too diligently until recently.  I often just use this under my eyes to brighten up my undereye darkness and have my whole complexion more alive.  I use the RT Contour brush or the RT foundation brush to do the blending.

Hope you enjoy this 1st installment of 12x12 Favourites, and comment below please!

I'm thinking this 12x12 will bring in some more randomness (in terms of frequency), and more organisation (in terms of the number of products mentioned).  Hope you'll find this interesting, because I'm actually quite excited about this little invention of mine!  Also, I'd try to avoid as much as possible to let item appear more than once - but if it does, you can be assured that it does worth that mention(s)!

Finally finally finally, apologise (to who?) as this is rather late for the 1st episode as my Feb/Mar were/are madly busy in terms of work.

    Cheers :D
