Quick Foundation Swatch: Neutrogena Healthy Skin vs Revlon ColorStay

A while back, Little Happy Heaven, a friendly reader of my blog, left a comment in my Liquid Foundation post, and asked if I can compare the Neutrogena healthy skin liquid makeup (the bottle I have is Nude 40), and the Revlon Colorstay Makeup Normal/Dry Skin (i have 150 buff).

Below are the swatches.
Sorry I forgot to attach the blended out version.  :S

I obtained the Revlon ColorStay from UK with the help of my lovely friend Sam, and my classmate brought me back the Neutrogena from the States.  Both of these are not available in my (poor) city, Hong Kong.  The Neutrogena healthy skin has been compared to the Nars Sheer Glow everywhere, by everyone; I'm sorry but I haven't been trying too many Nars products, including Sheer Glow, hence I cannot give a review/comparison!

Comparison

Neutrogena Nude is significantly darker and in my opinion it would not suit someone who wears Revlon Buff.

The undertones are similar.  As I am exposed to the Sun quite a bit recently, I now mix in a bit of healthy skin into the colorstay, when I seriously want to wear foundation.

Texture wise, Revlon dries to a rather semi-matte finish.  While Neutrogena is a little more glowy.  Both are natural looking and not drying on my skin.  I have dry skin, so I don't have much issue with the wear of my foundation due to oil-secretion.  :)

Hope this was helpful.  Cheers!

Beautiful wishes,

  2. The two are definitely not the same colour match, that's for sure! I think I'm a bit darker in the Colorstay, like 200 Nude or something? I don't know for sure. I really want to try the Neutrogena foundation though, I've heard fantastic things about it but sadly it's not available where I live.
