Last weekend was spent building a dining table, 4 chairs and 2 alex storage stacks at Mr. A's. The week was passed ultra-swiftly with barely anything done. Except, perhaps, a fruitful and cheerful meeting with my wedding helpers - a gang mixed of siblings, cousins, former schoolmates who all share the same rude humour. XD A lot of tasks are still incomplete but I'm happy to have these people to complete the picture, to say the least. :)
The Week in Acquisition
1. Mid-Autumn gifts
The only gift I delivered was moon-cakes to Father Roland, celebrant of our nuptial mass. Usually Mid-Autumn is a time to share food and moments with family gazing up the round full moon. This year is not different, except for the fact that one of my aunt surprised me by some make up bits as gift. Pics to come in my monthly journal~
Passed by an Etude House, semi-purposely, before a meeting, and quickly grabbed some nail polishes, along with a brush dangerously similar to my favourite MAC brush. Pictures to come, again, in the Sep journal~
#100DaySpendingBan #take2 Update
- Starts on 1 September, ends on 9 December.
- No make up or skin care product, unless I totally run out of that category.
- After the ban, [100 - (days I broke the ban)] * $100 will be my bonus money to spend. I'm thinking of something non-beauty related, perhaps something for my new flat, or a good quality hand bag...
- To be continued next week.
The rules are there, and I'm always mindful of not buying. However, retail therapy is prescribed to and by myself. So, shopping happened. Still pretty under control as, only a handful of controlled spree so far - in my consideration.
Broke the ban on 4 days.
The Week in Blog Posts

Sasatinnie Gel Topcoat
A more readily available (out of stock at some Sasa stores though) and affordable version of Seche Vite (as SV is over-priced here). Makes polish shine and last longer. Pictured previously in this post - link!
Must-Read of the Week
A few Top Shelf posts are loved by me, recently this house's sunshine - link! fascinates me, and Emily's humour - link! entertains me. I really am enjoying decluttering and tidying at the moment, totally buying this 'toss it all' attitude - link!
Wish of the Week
Either everything in Emily's Fall Essential post, or nothing. I'm in an eternal dilemma of wanting all, or living with the bare minimum. :S
