Period covered: 19 - 25 October
Bought too much this week, and didn't have time to take pictures of all of them under good lighting. :S

The Week in Acquisition
1. Guerlain Craze
Last Saturday, before heading to a girl's night, I passed by Harvey Nichols' Guerlain counter to get my little VIP mirror. There, I slipped and made an impulse purchase, as birthday gift for myself. Guerlain Rouge G "70 Gigolo" $395.
After doing research, on Tuesday, I led Mr. A to another Guerlain counter and without spending a cent, he got me one more Rouge G in "Garçonne", and my first Rouge Automatique $280, in "Champ-Élysées". (His VISA card was used too often, in too large a sum that, the cash rebate, aka cash dollars, is adequate to pay both lipsticks, with remainder...)
As gift with purchase, I received a little Velvet Body Milk in the "La Petite Robe Noire" scent; not a big fan of this fragrance...
2. Shopping for Mother-in-law-to-be and ma mére
First I went to T Galleria, Hysan Place. It is a duty free shop in the centre of the city, without going into restricted area. His mum's first request was a lipstick, so immediately I started swatching. There are several brands doing travel exclusive sets of 3 or 5 assorted shades of lip colours, and on my arm they swatched. With the help of my cousin and aunt, we decided on a brighter set of Guerlain and a lighter, sheerer set of Estee Lauder. (Actually we opted for a browner set of Lauder but the shop assistant grabbed the wrong one for us...) All six tubes in these sets are shiny gold packaged - my main concern - and the variety of shades fit the festival purpose.
Guerlain Rouge Automatique Hydrating Long-Lasting Lipcolour "120 Coque d'Or" "164 Chamade" "165 Champs-Élysées" $755 - I already bought 165 the day before, so I'm probably only keeping 120 and/or 164!
Estée Lauder 3 Pure Color Crystal Lip Jewels "25 Berry Fizz" "C5 Wild Orchid" "11 Crystal Coral" $545 - My Aunt who went shopping with me already snatched the Crystal Coral ;)
The second stop I went, was Facesss. I went to the LÓreal counter hoping to find compacts that look shiny and have shades that match their skin tone. Turned out, they did stock gold shell compacts, and I also found the pearly white nail polish his mum asks for. I didn't forget getting myself something so out came me with a LÓreal Super Liner Brow Designer Pro "01 Chestnut Brown" $99 and a LÓreal Super Liner Brow Liner "02 Light Brown" $79. The former has a twist up pencil, a powder and a spooly, while the latter is a traditional pencil with a spooly end. If both or either has a grey colour, I'd buy for the mums; sadly, they only have light and dark browns.

Finally, I went into a Sasa to i) redeem the Nuxe sample ii) to find mums some shiny brow pencils and lip balms. I did picked up brow pencils and lip balms for them, but also checked out with two more lipsticks - don't ask me how I can do this as naturally as I do!
Nuxe Nirvanesque Light 1st Wrinkles Smoothing Emulsion 2 ml
Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick Matte "006 Really Red" 4.2 g, $59
Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick Shine "835 Berry Couture" 3.7 g, $59
I also picked up make up removal wipes for them from supermarket. Both of them do not have a skin care nor make up routine so to play safe, I get them the easiest removers in the world, cleansing wipes. I hope these are okay: Superdrug Vitamin E Facial Cleansing Wipes $9.9 (25 pcs).
5. Media Lippies
I went lipstick crazy, literally. After acquiring 5 Guerlains and 2 Revlons within one week - that is already one purchase per day in average - I decided that I need more. Popped into a big Sasa, and came out with not one, not two, not even three, but four more lipsticks.
Kanebo Media Creamy Lasting Lip A "RS-12" "RS-23" "RD-11" $67, 3 g
Kanebo Media Liquid Glow Rouge "RS-03" $67, 2.5 g
Free sample of Suisse Programme Cellular Vital Eye Cream. Was a little adventurous so I bought an ultra affordable tinted lip balm from Dainty, Boris All Day Perfect Lipstick "M538" $29.5 (3.5 g). It is, in fact, pretty lovely on the lips! Despite the fact that it does have a hint of the old lipstick smell.
Then I, of course, picked up some extras, including a very very interesting foundation brush:
Pupa Deco Diamond Eyeshadow "02" is, in My opinion, a very version of MAC's Extra Dimension. More colours, smoother texture, and, Sasa always have different discounts. ;) Got 3.5 g of this for $78.
Makel Liquid Foundation Brush by the company called Lucky, is a lovely oval shaped synthetic foundation brush, one side of it has longer bristles than the other. Instructions say, use the 'flatter' side with longer bristles to apply, and the other to blend. Very very interesting. Let me give it a wash and a good try! Costs $89.
#100DaySpendingBan #take2 Update
- Starts on 1 September, ends on 9 December.
- No make up or skin care product, unless I totally run out of that category.
- After the ban, [100 - (days I broke the ban)] * $100 will be my bonus money to spend. I'm thinking of something non-beauty related, perhaps something for my new flat, or a good quality hand bag...
- To be continued...
I have been a little lipstick crazy recently. Forgive me. I am sure after the wedding stress dies down I can control myself a little better.
Broke the ban on 15 days.
