Period covered: 2 - 8 November
+this is a backdate post+ +maybe a wrong use of the word backdate, too+
The week was hectic. As it was the week leading to my wedding, my skin and mind was freaking out. Majorly.
I had 1 facial and 1 back treatment, 1 manicure and 1 pedicure (1st time getting Shellac!), on top of 2 full body massage sessions. All within one week. There is a good reason why...
The Week in Instagram
Care package, or custom purchase, from Traci. The best kind of Sephora haul one can get // The only skin care I put on my skin because my skin was not co-operating: La Roche-Posay, Helenere, Sulwhasoo, Trilogy and Elizabeth Arden // Bible quote displayed in city centre, yes it lightened my day up a little bit...
#JoyeuxAmourNov: Day 2 - Autumn is the season for cozy banana dessert, but which season isn't? // Day 3 - Joy, or rather Double Joy // Day 4 - Accessories, some of my wedding gifts // Day 5 - Work, finalizing the rundown of the big day // Day 6 - Relaxation, new bed in the making // Day 7 - Red equals Power Up in my dictionary // Day 8 - A crazy day doing delivery and bringing Mr A to receive his first confession
The Week in Acquisition
1. Placed an order on Camera Ready Cosmetics
The order has arrived and I'm very pleasantly impressed, as always. A post will be written on this separately some time later.
2. A Small Sasa Spending
I repurchased my all-time favourite mascaras: Heroine Make Volume & Curl Mascara & Heroine Make Long & Curl Mascara. Each set costs $89, with a complimentary Heroine Make Eye Makeup Remover. Now that I'm typing this I want to go back for more back-ups. I'm that obsessed!
Hakme, or Jess, totally talked me into getting one of thess: Elizabeth Arden Ceramide Advanced/ Extreme Time Complex Capsules, Intensive Treatment for Face and Throat. $158 for 90 capsules. You need to watch her youtube videos to get the damage, so I advise you not to! :D
3. Shu Uemura
One cannot complete his brow product collection without some Shu Uemura Hard Formula Hard 9 Eyebrow Pencil "Acorn 06" $175 (4 g). I got one when G went to get her brows groomed. Watching her buy one is enough reason to buy one for myself. This brow pencil has a reputation to last forever, and do not apply too much pigment - which gives a natural finish. I have only used it several times, so far, so good.
#100DaySpendingBan #take2 Update
- Starts on 1 September, ends on 9 December.
- No make up or skin care product, unless I totally run out of that category.
- No body or hair care product, not even perfume!
- After the ban, [100 - (days I broke the ban)] * $100 will be my bonus money to spend. I'm thinking of something non-beauty related, perhaps something for my new flat, or a good quality hand bag...
- To be continued...
Broke the ban on 26 days. + 3
