The Week #20

Period covered: 23 - 29 November

Saturday was our last day at Thailand, and I picked up loads of divine smelling SPA products at the Samui Airport.  Then after we're back, I checked out the local Sasa and Colourmix and spent &^%$# on three products.  Read on to see what those are...

The Week in Instagram

Samui Airport, what a tranquil promenade // Can't take my eyes off the television every 21:30 to 22:30 because of Dayo // Hong Kong Stadium, full day work for the Year of Faith // My stash of quads, from Tom Ford // Tea break with my supportive little sister // Face of the day trying out MAC BB // Sneak-peek of my Camera Ready Cosmetics delivery, notice some Kevyn Aucoin?

#JoyeuxAmourNov: Day 23 - Beauty essentials of tropical holiday // Day 24 - Fun taking picture with Sarah the tame mother tiger, at Samui Zoo // Day 25 - Carrots in boxer soft toys give me enormous energy // Day 26 - Cute cupcake (pictured above) // Day 27 - Content with my new life with Mr. A // Day 29 - Hot chocolate in Rilakkuma mug gives me warmth

The Week in Acquisition

1.  Samui Airport

The airport is beautiful.  I went into a shop by Harnn, a Spa brand, and bought quite a bit.  Then, because our flight was delayed, I walked into the Duty Free and got an extra little bottle of lotion... I'll try to put up a post on my Thailand beauty haul soon.  Come back next week or so for that~

2.  La Colline @ Sasa
3.  Clarins & Bobbi Brown @ Colourmix

I came across very good discounts and I couldn't help but checked out with three dream products.

La Colline Cellular Vital Eye Mask $920 / 30 ml - This may be the best eye mask you can get in the market.  One complaint: why didn't Sasa include a free sample (or loads) when I spend this much cash in one go?  #ideservemore

My Clarins wish list is metre-long, but when it comes to real purchase, I am pretty self-controlled.  Only picked this HydraQuench Cream up when I came across it at $295.  The blame goes to Miss Reductionista.

My adopted sister Sam wrote a beautiful review on Bobbi Brown Foundation Stick this week and made me very, maybe overly, interested in it.  Obtained one for $260, discounted, in the colour "2 Sand".  Check her article out, her shade is "4.5 Warm Natural".

4.  Black Friday Sale?

I made an order of Elemis skin care set from an online dealer.  #naughtyme

#100DaySpendingBan #take2 Update

- Starts on 1 September, ends on 9 December.
- No make up or skin care product, unless I totally run out of that category.
- No body or hair care product, not even perfume!
- After the ban, [100 - (days I broke the ban)] * $100 will be my bonus money to spend.  I'm thinking of something non-beauty related, perhaps something for my new flat, or a good quality hand bag...
- To be continued...

Progress Update:
The ban will end in 10 days, how exciting!

Progress Overall:
Broke the ban on 23 days. + 3

Weekly Favourites

N/A - I'm still kind of all over the place and constantly rotation products...

Must-Read of the Week

My skin is dry and dehydrated all year round, not very sensitive, and slightly combination in the hottest months.  Though our skin are not quite alike, I still find Kate the Driveller's updated skin care routine very helpful.  Her approach to skin care is cool (that's the simplest word I can relate her to).  The Innisfree eye cream, along with the Sisley (saw it on sale for below HK$700 at Colourmix), is competing with Clarins to be my next full size eye cream purchase.

Wish of the Week

Aside from a whole list of Clarins, enlightened by the Reductionista, I'm also intrigued to get my hands on some Sisley and Innisfree.  Top of my list:  Clarins HydraQuench Cream-Mask, Sisley Sisleya Eye and Lip Contour Cream, Innisfree Soybean Firming Eye Cream.

I am determined to post back the 3 (outdated) The Weeks I've missed, wait for me... Anyway, here you go, the most updated one!  How was your week?

Beautiful wishes,

Lazy silly Jacq :")

  1. =) love the Carrot and the tiger photo ...

    1. The carrot toy is getting a lot of love from visitors to my new home. :) glad you like the pics

  2. Hi Jacq,

I've been a silent reader of your blog for almost a year. I'm from Singapore but currently living in Thailand. Indeed, there are many Thai SPA products and other skincare stuffs :)
As I will be coming to HK next month for a few days. Between SASA & Colourmix - Which is a better place to get Clarins products at good prices?
    Appreciate your help. Thank you.

    1. Hi Jan, thanks for commenting! Both Sasa and Colourmix (and Bonjour too) sell Clarins discounted, at least 5-10% off. I would recommend Sasa for the newer (newest release) stuff, or those focus on Asian market (whitening for example). Sasa is better stocked at these. However, Colourmix and Bonjour have better discount when they have the product in stock, e.g. I've seen cottonseed cleanser $146 at Bonjour (sold $225 in department store here)

  3. Thanks for your reply & information. Looks like I'll spend much time at these 3 stores.
BTW, love your reviews on Bourjois & Naruko ;)
