These two cleansers do not work for me, so I have given them away. Not that they are bad brew, just not my cup.
Nars Skin Purifying Foam Cleanser* says it does a lot of things, from removing make up, exfoliating, to brightening the skin. I do appreciate that it is a non-abrasive cleanser, with a small density of soft round beads to mechanically remove dead skin cells. It does leave skin quite clean. However, it is formulated for normal to oily/combination skin and I'm barely half greasy the skin made for this cleanser. My dry flaky skin roars after washing it with this, and I find the formula itself a little strong for my skin. I did try it both Summer and Winter, and I figure I shouldn't keep it until forever.
Michael Todd True Organics Honey and Oat Gentle Deep Pore Cleanser, unlike the Nars, is designed for dry skin. Since its arrival, I have tried this on and off multiple times trying to like it. At $22, I expect it to be fairly decent, which it isn't particularly. I would say it doesn't dry out my skin, and agree it doesn't strip skin's natural moisture (if mine has any). However, the scent and consistency of this isn't right. I do not like how it smell, and its gel texture, while quite reminds one of honey, doesn't hydrate the skin like real honey. Another big thumb down is, this came leaking in the mail. For a mediocre cleansing power (not deep pore by any means), and not so great hydrating properties, I'll skip this.

Last entry of 2013 empties, and I'll be wrapping it up with a round-up. These are mostly full sizes as the previous post was entirely on small samples. My previous rating system is too over-whelming for me today, for unknown reason. Therefore I will opt for something simpler, Very Good, Good, Okay, Bad.

I reckon I'm a season behind posting these, my Oct/Nov/Dec 2013 boxes are still collecting dust in my study (storage) room. New year is a new beginning, so let's kick off the un-boxing with the freshly re-designed January box!

Testing out skin care products takes time, and forming an opinion even longer. More often than I desire, skin care expired or got used up before I can formally write about them. I am not promising a lot, but this year I'm hoping I can do at least one in-depth review on skin care, per month.

Back in late October, early November, this set was promoted in magazines, multiple of magazines. Compared to the other Holiday collections (I remembered looking at Cle de Peau Beaute, MAC, Tom Ford, etc) and the other blockbuster (Estee Lauder), this is the most affordable and 'sophisticated' option. Without much thoughts, and with much fear that this will run out in no time, I picked this up at the Sogo counter, Causeway Bay. Honor was there with me, and she/we calmly decided on just two items to buy to make up the amount needed to redeem this set.
Little Disclaimer: This has been chez moi for a good few months, yet with the wedding and holidays interrupting, I have not played with these yet. This post is more like a show-and-tell sans first impression.

Happy 2014! 新年快樂～
Been procrastinating on my empties publishing since forever, and it's time to clear out my trash stash a little. These have been piling up since I started packing for the move, yes, I even brought over trash from parents' home to my current home... Remarkable? It just seems natural to me~
Let's start, with this post focusing on the non-full-size only; as that will be a totally different mile-long post. (Hesitated to even touch that bag. Honest.)
REN Rosa Centifolia Cleansing Gel * - Just Jacq - Sam sent me this. Nice gentle watery gel wash. Feels lovely and my skin reacts well with it. Problem is the price. I'd rather buy another new product to try instead of going back to this. ;)
