June & July Empties 2014 | Part 1 of 2

For some reason - mainly my obsession over procrastination - the pile of beauty trash kept piling up since my last empties, and no one (i.e. me) went to tackle it... When I finally dig these out and photograph I realise there are too plenty I have to cut into two posts.

Anyway~ Let's cut this meaningless introduction short, and jump straight into the empties, shall we?

REN Hydra-Calm Cleansing Gel
Got a bunch of these from Glamashop in order to use up my points.  Only adequate for about 2 uses.  Very watery.
Okay
Will I repurchase?  No.

REN Mayblossom and Blue Cypress Facial Wash

Also from Glamashop.  Better than the Hydra-Calm cleansing gel, but still meh~ I am not big into the lavender-ish scent.
Okay
Will I repurchase?  No.

INNISFREE Olive Real Cleansing Foam *
INNISFREE Olive Real Cleansing Oil *
Gift with purchases that I adore.  The olive fragrance is clean and nice, both cleanses thoroughly and keeps skin relatively moist.
Hurray
Will I repurchase?  No, not good enough to win my heart.

PRIMERA Cresswhite Brightening Cleansing Foam *
It has a fresh lemon scent, more clarifying than the Innisfree Olive, but still not drying.  Decent.
Okay
Will I repurchase?  No.

CAUDALIE Cleansing Water *
Ari gifted me this.  A very nice micellar water that refreshes and tones.  I don't typically use micellar waters to remove eye make up but this works perfectly at taking off any non-waterproof stuff.  Also, as a matter of fact, the surfactants in micellar waters can be as bad as all the foaming agents in cleansing foam, so if you're mindful about ingredients in your skin care, you may as well skip micellar waters as well... #justsaying
Hurray
Will I repurchase?  Maybe, after I go through my litres of Bioderma (and others).

SEPHORA Waterproof Eye Makeup Remover
Bought this in Italy because I needed it.  It is a good one.  Reasonably priced and effective, no disadvantage.
Hurray
Will I repurchase?  No, too difficult to get hold of.

CLARINS Instant Eye Make Up Remover
Heard great things about this from mainly UK bloggers.  Purchased multiple of this size at Bonjour one day when I encountered them.  It is effective (aka oily) enough to take off my waterproof mascaras, and not overly greasy (which actually I don't mind).  The downside is the over-powering fragrance.
Okay
Will I repurchase?  No, but I still have several little bottles of this.

KIBIO Gentle Cleansing Milk
Probably came in one of the Glamaboxes.  Too little quantity to properly try out.  Also, the consistency is neither creamy nor milky, somewhere weirdly in between, not fancy.
No Way
Will I repurchase?  No.

MELVITA Rose Floral Water
I kept this in my little handbag for refreshment throughout the day.  It has an ultra soothing and natural rose scent that captures my heart - I like floral but I'm not particularly huge on roses.  Adorable, and very affordable too, if purchased from online sites instead of the local stores - I think I have used Feel Unique before.
Hurray
Will I repurchase?  Yes, later, because I have just repurchased the Narcissus Extraordinary...

DR.G Beyond Young Blue Blue Toner
Came in a travel set from Sasa (not sure how old this toner was).  I experienced some sort of break-outs, probably hormonal, so I dig out whatever I have and just try to use this up.  Didn't do anything.
No Way
Will I repurchase?  No.

ORGANIX Rejuvenating Cherry Blossom Ginseng Shampoo & Conditioner
Like the product, hate the bottle design.  I had to fight with the conditioner container to obtain any product.  Maybe a good 'organic' shampoo, but recently they are not 'organic' enough to have to rename themselves into OGX - go figure how organic they are.  For those who don't care much about the 'organicity' of the ingredients, it is an Okay shampoo; but first you have to deal with the bad bottles.
Okay
Will I repurchase?  No.

RENE FURTERER Myrrhea Anti-Frizz Silkening Mask
Absolutely adore the scent.  I think frankincense and myrrh on their own or blended together are my absolute favourite thing to smell in the world.  This hair mask smells divine, but to be honest, it didn't work magic on my hair; my hair probably doesn't need such hardcore mask to be frank...
Hurray
Will I repurchase?  No.

PROSOURCE Extra Virgin Coconut Oil *
First I tried it as a body moisturiser, which is good, but not the easiest thing to handle.  Later I use this in baths, mixed with my favourite salts (haul here), or just mixed with anything.  I love the coconut aroma it releases and how it moisturises my body - my bathtub hates me for the greasiness though...
Okay
Will I repurchase?  No.

NEAL'S YARD REMEDIES Rose Body Cream
The rose fragrance is beautiful, and if you're a fan of roses, this will serve you very well.  I really enjoy the thick but spread-able buttery cream texture of it.  For the price, I'll probably not repurchase though.  :P
Okay
Will I repurchase?  No.

EGYPTIAN MAGIC All Purpose Skin Cream
I bought this for Mr. A's psoriasis on the body, but he's too lazy to apply it.  For some unknown reason, he's really diligent in applying the petrolatum-based ointment (with a few percentage of salicylic acid or other drug) prescribed by his dermatologist, but when it runs out, he stops applying anything.  As I wanted to clear out my stash, I generously apply this to my limbs and belly.  It is thick, and only spread-able in this warm weather.  I now have a more 'organic' and 'healthy' option (haul here) so I won't repurchase this.
Okay
Will I repurchase?  No.

EARTH SCIENCE Triple Action Problem Skin Treatment (link - discount code: JBF362)
Smells extremely strong of alcohol, borderline pungent.  I wonder how men can spray this onto their face if they really have issues with ingrown beard.  I used to spray this on my back to help with the acne, but then I can't stand the mist so I pour it onto cotton pad and ask Mr. A to wipe it on.  It felt tingly (really works) and helped with my back acne.
Okay
Will I repurchase?  No, for the scent.

KRACIE Silk Moist Essence Conditioner #Mint
Mr. A used this in conjunction with the Nanogen shampoos, because his feedback on the Nanogen conditioner was mediocre.  This Kracie is a cheap but cheerful option from the Japanese drugstore and I got this from Sasa for just under $20 (HKD).  He prefers his current very cooling one (link) which is also affordable so I'll probably stick with that one.
Okay
Will I repurchase?  No.

THE BODY SHOP Olive Shower Gel
Mr. A used this up.  I really love how it smells on him, or how this makes him smell.  I will definitely revisit this scent when weather turns colder, or after Mr. A finishes the Dove (haul), or if I see it discounted at factory outlet.
Black Jacq
Will I repurchase?  Yes.

FASIO Full Dynamic Long Mascara #BK001
I want to call this a love-hate mascara.  For the fact that I ran out to buy a back-up of this the week I started using it, you can tell I really enjoy using it and it does work on my lashes.  However, soon, the formula dried up a bit, and the fibres in the formula start falling into my eyes every time I use it.  I have to be ultra careful not to put it too close to the base of my lashes otherwise fibres will stick to my eyeballs, then I started crying and basically all make up undone.  Will use up my back-up, and hoping the new white ones (purchased, shown here) won't have such problem...
Okay
Will I repurchase?  No.

BRTC Aqua Rush Water Drop BB Cream
It took me forever to finish a tube of foundation/bb cream.  This is one of the rare exception that I do use up.  It is really refreshing with a lot of water content, also less pink or ashy or white as some other bb creams out there.  I have actually wrote a full-on review on this stuff - read it and you'll know how old this tube is.
Hurray
Will I repurchase?  No.

BOURJOIS Sourcil Precision Eyebrow Pencil #04 Blond Fonce
The colour is alright, a rather neutral light-medium brown.  Mine is really old, so that's probably why it starts to get really creamy, and clumps up or breaks when applied to the skin.  I have decided that I won't be buying brow pencils with this type of thin tooth-brush attached; I'd either get those with spoolies or nothing at all.
No Way
Will I repurchase?  No.

ANASTASIA BEVERLY HILLS Clear Brow Gel
Too expensive for what it is and how much it contains.  The brush head is too big for my liking.  Near the end of its life I bent the head to hopefully facilitate using, but didn't help much.
Okay
Will I repurchase?  No.

INNISFREE Olive Real Cleansing Tissue *
Smells lovely, same as the cleansing oil and foam mentioned above.  It is an oily kind of cleansing towelette, not really 'refreshing'.  I find the emollients great for my non-oily skin, more forgiving and soothing.  It removes face make up really well.  A little flaw, the oil in the wipes prevent the sticker to close/stick properly, but luckily it doesn't dry up very soon.
Okay
Will I repurchase?  Already did - see my Korean haul.

JOSERISTINE Ginger & Black Sucrose Bath Sugar
I mixed this with something else in the bath so I forgot how I like this.  I have several more packets of this so I'll make the decision later.
Okay
Will I repurchase?  Maybe.

AURA CACIA BABY Organic Calming Milk & Oat Bath (link - discount code: JBF362)
Like it.  Ordered another brand of baby bath (link) to try, then I'll decide which one I like better for baby Roma.
Okay
Will I repurchase?  Maybe.

MAITHONG Balancing Whitening Bath Mitt
Got this in Thailand - read the haul here - and been using it and forgetting it back and forth.  I find this one of the several products that help me with my back acne.  The mitt broke near its end of life, which isn't a problem to me, as the soap only lasted a few more washes longer than that.
Hurray
Will I repurchase?  Yes.

INNISFREE Intensive Ampoule Mask [Hyaluron] - Not the best from this Ampoule Mask range, this is decent.  Not moisturising enough for a mask labelled as intensive, hyaluron, etc...

LEARDERS CLINIC Mela-Tox Skin Clinic Mask
LEARDERS CLINIC Aquaringer Skin Clinic Mask - I love this brand's net-texture fabric, and the solution it contains, and the effect it gives.  Will buy more only if the price is lower.

SILK WHITIA Hanfang Moisture Hydrating Mask - Adore this brand, and even though it requires washing off per the instructions (I prefer those with residue I can leave on), I still highly recommend this.  Great stuff.

ORACLE Secret Lab Aqua Source Treatment Mask RX - Nice, this brand is not bad.  For the price, won't repurchase.

SUNWOO COSME Bee Venom Mask - Forgot...

LUMLUM ADDICT Aloe Vera & Cucumber Fresh Paper Mask - Just okay, won't repurchase.

HADANOMY Collagen Mask - Not bad, a rather basic moisture mask leaving the skin very refreshed, hydrated, not sticky.  This mask has been discontinued by Sasa though, I'm glad I picked up some before they're gone.

LOVE SKINCARE 美之戀 Anti-Wrinkle Sake Secret Rejuvenating Mask
LOVE SKINCARE 櫻之戀 Loofah & Aloe Vera Whitening Lifting Mask (company facebook) - Both are just okay/no-way.  The scent is way too strong for the Loofah and Aloe Vera, and both have way too much solution that make the mask experience intolerable.
