These pictures were taken mid-January so I was kind of cheating. If you can get past that, then please read on. Not that it matters to you the slightest bit, right? :P
Earth Mama Angel Baby Bath Blossoms (info-ingredients-buy, discount code: JBF362)
This organic herbal bath saved Roma's desert dry body. My baby's skin couldn't tolerate foaming agents since around 3 month old. His entire body was red, peeling and painful to look at. Remembered this (thank Nadine I bought this!), switched to this and situation immediately miraculously stopped worsening and improved. For those who don't want to spend so much on this, QV Bath Oil (or Oilatum/ask-your-pharmacist) or breast-milk make great baths too. Breast-milk stays well for 3 months frozen, when I found 'expired' stock I melt one meal for one bath - my mum made fun of this and asked what if baby start drinking the bath water...
Repurchase? Definitely, already have two boxes standing by and will immediately make an order once I run low.
La Roche Posay Toleriane Soothing Protective Skincare
I have this in my stash for when my skin reacts and need ultra gentle care. Turned out, my skin is not as sensitive as I thought and I barely touched this. When baby's skin was red, dry and sensitive, I literally splurged this on him, and it helped. Not as miraculous as I thought (given the price!), but it kind of worked.
Mustela Dermo-Cleansing *
Smells beautiful - hello, fragrance - but as mentioned, weather and baby didn't allow us to use this on him.
Aveeno Baby Gentle Conditioning Shampoo Lightly Scented (info-ingredients-buy, discount code: JBF362) *
Actually this is not yet finished, only one-third done. But I have transferred it to a container with pump. This healed my boy's cradle cap (it could be just a coincidence that the cradle cap disappeared just when we changed to this), enough said.
Repurchase? Yes, for sure.
Chanel Allure Homme EDT
The best smelling perfume Mr. A wears. It works on him; it works for me. It is on the sensual, mature side - just the way I like it/him.
Dr. Hsieh 10% Mandelic Acid Home Peeling Liquid
Ordered a set with one humongous jar and this small dropper bottle. I haven't formed an opinion on this yet. At least it didn't break me out. Mandelic Acid is just another type of chemical exfoliating agent, read more about it and its usage on my cousin's blog!
Repurchase? Maybe not. Gosh I still have a giant refill tub...
Clarins White Plus Gentle Renewing Brightening Peel *
This may be the discontinued? Asian version of another Clarins peel/exfoliating toner which was pretty popular in the Western community a while ago. Stopped using it when I was pregnant and hurried using this up once I've delivered. I like it, especially for its soft scent and relative gentleness on the skin (I'm speaking from a thick-skin-girl point of view, although my skin is dry it is not very reactive). Regretfully, it is not my favourite exfoliating toner.
SKII Facial Treatment Essence
Reviewed in depth. Not essential in my routine and I have many other miracle-broth/exfoliating toner/peel pads to try out/use up.
Repurchase? No. Will only consider the Clear Lotion.
Dove Deep Pure *
Make up removal plus face cleansing foam. Great handy stuff for lazy evenings. Foams tend to be used up so quickly though.
Repurchase? Yes, but I got the white bottle (3-in-1, covered in Japanese) instead.
Dolly Wink Liquid Eyeliner
One of the several Japanese liners that do not budge/smudge on me. The tip is calligraphy brush, not felt-pen.
Repurchase? Yes. Just hauled three other brands today though.
Lush Dream Cream
Lush Happy Hippy
From 2013 Christmas sets (!), I'm glad I get them at 50% off, because it is a fantastic economy? way to try out a bunch of products. Both are okay, not wow-impressive. Dream Cream moisturises but didn't smell crazily good. Happy Hippy is citrus/grapefruit based, which is good, but it is after all, just a shower gel.
Miss Carol Chamomile and VE Hydrating Deeply Hand Cream + Pomegranate Moisturizing and Repairing Lipstick
All hand creams from this brand has different concentration of shea butter and all smells lovely. The lip balm on the lid didn't work though (it fell out one day).
Repurchase? Yes, hand cream only.
Weleda Stretch Mark Massage Oil (info-ingredients-buy, discount code: JBF362)
NONE of the oils and butters and creams prevented my stretch marks to form, but this seemed to accelerate the diminishing.
(from Samui Island spa) Rice Massage Oil
Fragrant jasmine rice oil is probably one of my favourite oils to use on the body. I feel like travelling to heaven (or a spa as divine) whenever I slather myself in such.
Repurchase? Yes if I can find it. I would repurchase any jasmine rice or rice scented body massage oil!
Afforests Peppermint & Eucalyptus Body Wash
A light runny gel that clarifies without drying out the body. Decent foaming body wash.
Repurchase? Yes when I have back or body acne problem again.
Suave Creamy Apricot & Orange Blossom Exfoliating Body Wash
Lovely fragrance, has exfoliating beads suspended in the formula, not too much in quantity. Great foaming body wash. I like it when Mr. A uses this, too.
Repurchase? Yes, as with any Suave products!
Desert Essence Italian Red Grape Shampoo (info-ingredients-buy, discount code: JBF362)
When I was pregnant I tried to go organic and ventured into this brand's shampoo - what a royal excuse to shop! The scent is exactly like the pencil jelly candy we had in primary school (my sister and I loved that), and is pleasant. For the price and nothing-special results it is not something I miss.
Repurchase? No. (I've still got a Green Apple one in my stash)
Tsubaki Head Spa Extra Cleansing
The weekly deep cleansing type shampoo with a spa like experience. The essential oil blend has aromatherapeutic effect and I adore it for this fact.
Clairol Breaks Over Strengthening Conditioner
All Clairol hair products smell good, and scent is the reason I purchased this. I find it extremely difficult to go through such a size and I have fine hair and I only condition the ends of my hair.
Repurchase? No. I have little to no loyalty to shampoo/conditioner. ;)
Deluxe Sample / Travel Size
Neal's Yard Remedies Wild Rose Beauty Balm
Used this as cleansing balm. Nice scent, not the easiest to take off. Have tried enough cleansing balms to realise it is not my thing - still have some to use up though.
Nuxe Reve de Miel Face Cleansing and Make-Up Removing Gel
I like to use it as a face wash only. Head over heels for the scent and texture. Results good when it's not obtained at 'original price'.
Repurchase? Yes. Very tempted as Sasa is having this on sale for around HK$80!
Sulwhasoo First Care Activiating Serum
Nothing special apart from the ginseng smell.
Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair *
The first generation, it is. My skin and I love this enough to justify a bottle of the ANR II, 2nd generation.
For Beloved One Melasleep Whitening Blemish Balm Cream #Ivory
As a make up, it brightens, evens and illuminates my skin in an unbelievably natural and observable way. Sold.
Macadamia Rejuvenating Shampoo *
Nicely scented, doesn't weigh my hair down. Nothing spectacular.
Korres Guava Body Butter
Smells good. Quite thick but easy to spread.
Crabtree & Evelyn Hand Therapy Citron Honey & Coriander *
I rarely use hand scrubs to justify having a specialised exfoliator for the hands. This is alright.
Caudalie Divine Scrub
You'd love it if you like the Divine Oil. The scent lingers if you don't layer another scented-product on top. Sugary scrub with a beautiful fragrance - I'd spend my money on the oil and a cheaper scrub though.
Jergens Crema Deep Conditioning Oatmeal Body Cream *
Thank you Ari for including these in the package, when she sent over the Naked 3 and Ambient Lighting palettes - pictures of unboxing those are gone though, sadly. This cream literally rescued my cracking legs overnight. I drenched my limbs in this, and used up two little pots maybe within a week.
Repurchase? Yes, if I can... (A couple of years ago I got a bottle of lotion, not the cream, but now it can't be find anywhere in our city! Please enlighten me if you know how to buy Jergens in HK.)
Lactacyd Moisturizing Daily Feminine Wash
Nothing good or bad or special to say. Don't find this particularly more moisturising than the other variations.
Repurchase? No. Bought a big Whitening one because I prefer that scent better.
Small Samples (some I simply have nothing to say about)
Cle de Peau Beaute Le Serum *
An oily type serum I finished in one application. Feels, smells and on-the-skin-looks amazing. Wish I become that rich (and insane) so as to repurchase - I really do wish I do.
Mentholatum Lip Pure Honey Lemon *
Thick, sticky but bearable, sweet but not sickly, does moisturise and protect overnight. Will repurchase when it goes on sale.
ReVive Moisturizing Renewal Serum Nightly Repair Booster
Not enough to make me fall-at-first-sight, but good.
La Roche Posay Toleriane Dermo-Cleanser *
Decleor Aromessence Nerou Essential Serum *
Supreme. I am eyeing this on the Decleor HK online shop, and the StrawberryNet. When I mentally weak, I will press the checkout button.
Kiehl's Creme de Corps *
Kiehl's Midnight Recovery *
Am in the market for a good oily serum or oil as moisturiser, Kiehl's doesn't impress me enough. MV Organic Rose Skin Plus Booster is on its way from Cult Beauty - so excited!
The History of Whoo In Yang Sleeping Pack
Sheet Masks (some I simply have nothing to say about)
Leaders Coconut Bio Mask with Blueberry
BRTC Rice Stem Cell Mask
BRTC Green Tea Stem Cell Mask
Isdani Baek-Myeong MTS Mediental Clinic Mask
Love More South Pacific Gold Pearl Amazing White Mask
Menard Beauness Spa Mask Sheet
Dr. Morita Syn-ake Essence Facial Mask
All above is decent. The Menard surprisingly resembles a great lot of the more affordable Utena ones - why would I pay Menard price then? Out of the bunch will probably repurchase BRTC and LoveMore (one of my all-time favourite brands).
Kao MegRhythm Steam Eye Mask #Chamomile #Yuzu #Unscented
I used up all my old ones and started to go through the new ones (checked pattern). These help me fall asleep instantly - which I desperately need when I was sometimes woke up by Master Baby Roma in the middle of the night.
Holy Grail. Definitely will repurchase. Have 3 boxes of back-ups at all times.

Sierra Bees Organic Pomegranate Lip Balm (info-ingredients-buy, discount code: JBF362)
I realise I do not like pomegranate.
Reviva Labs Vitamin E Stick (info-ingredients-buy, discount code: JBF362)
Broke at first sight.
Dr. Hauschka Lip Balm
Turned rancid. The opening is too narrow, hinders me from using this more often. Will stick to the lip care stick in the future.
Crystal Body Deodorant Spray (info-ingredients-buy, discount code: JBF362)
Made me smell worse than pre-applied.
CL Rice Peel (info-buy, new packaging!)
Hate the jar, truly love the vanilla-ry smell. Will consider repurchasing now that they use tubes!
|Purging~ Giving these away~|
I buy too much and some just don't get loved by me. I often clear out stuff and send to friends and family - this time the beneficiary (or victim?) is my smallest sister.
