Last week, at my 31 week check-up, my doctor said I have gained too much weight in too short a period of time; about 3 kg over 5 weeks. She advised me to lower my carbohydrates intake, and avoid sugar/sweets as much as possible. I used to eat couple packets or bars of chocolate daily for the past few weeks, so this is kind of expected. It has been a week now, and for me, this 'diabetes' diet has been slightly annoying but not unbearable. I stopped drinking regular sodas totally, halved my sugar in tea or other beverages, and only limit myself to one piece of chocolate per day.
My doctor also advised me to do a certain exercise 5 minutes every day and night, in order to facilitate Monkey to turn himself head-down (the 'right' position). Basically I have to do this quite tiring, though simple, posture before bed, and after I wake up.
**Roma is totally expressing my feeling right now, barely hanging there...
How far along? 32 weeks.
Total weight gain/measurements: At my 31 week check-up I was 70 kg. I hope I didn't gain much in these past several days.
Maternity clothes: The weather has been really warm (often 20 degrees or above) so I'm still stuffing myself into my short sleeves maternity t-shirts, and simply cover up with a sweater of some sort if I'm going out. Bottom though, only New Look lounge pants, ASOS maternity leggings, NEXT maternity leggings and jeans fit me comfortably. However if they are all in the wash I'll also try to go out in some very uncomfortable but bearable pants from AEON, H&M and GENNIE'S. I think I need to get some bras though - however I'm very lazy and reluctant to go clothing shopping.
Stretch marks: No new ones. Mr. A kind of agree (by not disagreeing), that the majority of my previous stretch marks are now invisible, and only a few are noticeable under the belly button (which I cannot see). I know this is because my belly is stretched out almost as much as the previous max.
Sleep: Not that well. Although I'm not as frequently waken by cramps in legs, and can generally sleep for 6-7 hours straight, it has been more and more difficult for me to fall asleep.
Best moment: My sister over-spending on my behalf in the States, getting me a whole lot of new make up. Getting a few bits from the 759 sale (up to 40% off!) including Japanese masks and shampoos, Korean ampoules and seaweed (snacks, not beauty-related).
Miss anything? Walking like a proper human, not feeling my feet are going to explode whenever I stand or walk for over couple of minutes.
Movement: Intensive. Extensive. Monkey is as restless in my belly as his elder brother. (same as last update)
Food cravings: Chocolate. Let's not talk about it, shall we?
Anything making you queasy or sick? Bloated legs and feet. Super watermelon size belly. The restless Roma who never pauses from causing trouble and mess.
Labour signs: Nil.
Symptoms: No (?).
Belly button in or out? Out.
Wedding rings on or off? Off.
Happy or moody most of the time: Happy when someone is looking after Roma. Very moody whenever I'm alone with monster Roma.
Looking forward to: My Filipino helper's arrival. Jennifer bringing back the American HAUL. Better sleep (possibly won't happen until delivery). Getting a crib for Monkey.
